Upgrading trade with Israel
At the annual EU-Israel Association Council meeting on Wednesday 24 July 2012, the EU offered to upgrade trade and diplomatic relations with Israel.
Nick Griffin MEP has received concern from those in his constituency about this planned upgrade in trade as detailed below:
Please explain why, particularly in light of the recent Levy report which recommends de facto annexation of the West Bank and which has received the support of both Israel's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister.
This report effectively recommends formal adoption of an apartheid system in these occupied territories and if (probably when) adopted shall put paid to any lingering hopes for a Palestinian state. So what message is the EU sending out with this offer of upgrade now?
His Constituency outreach officer, Tina Wingfield replied on his behalf below regarding his policies on interference in other nations
