The lies of war

Nick Griffin MEP often receives mail in support of getting our troops out of Afghanistan.  One such letter stated, "Our troops must be wondering precisely what they're supporting."  Nick and indeed the British National Party have campaigned relentlessly for the withdrawal of our troops in this illegal war.

Replying on Nick’s behalf, his Outreach Officer sent the following:

Nick Griffin and the British National Party have been campaigning tirelessly for the withdrawal of our troops from the war in Afghanistan.

The outrageous lie that Britain is involved in the war to "prevent Afghan territory from being used by al Qaida as a base from which to plan attacks on the UK and our allies" has been dismissed by military commanders and defence experts. The reality is that the war in Afghanistan has served to increase terrorism in Britain and the world, not the other way round: Muslim extremism is flourishing on the streets of Britain.

That is why Nick Griffin and the British National Party demand an immediate end to this war and the institution of sensible domestic immigration policies to remove the Islamist threat at home.

It is the responsibility of our elected politicians to change the misguided foreign policy which sanctions the tragic waste of British soldiers in a futile foreign war. One can only hope they will not be able to stomach the loss of many more precious lives before they see sense. In the meantime, however, it is their absolute duty to ensure that the soldiers who are honour-bound to implement their policies are treated with the care, compassion and respect that they truly deserve.

Please be assured that Mr Griffin will continue to pressure the Government to fulfil its responsibility and its duty to the armed forces.
